Special Christmas Events: AT DIA: Special presentation on the 9th December Friday at 9 am at the Baton Rouge Convention Center. AT DAG Center: on the 10th of December at 6.30 pm Special Christmas play. All Are invited! Compassion Children's Programme on the 10th Church Dinner on the 13th AG School Annual Function on the 14th Caroline Girls' Home programme on the 19th Christmas Combined Service at DAG at 9 am (combined with DIA, DBC, DUA) New Year's watchnight service on the 31st night at 11 pm "Shout" worship concert on the 21st January with a day's Fair and Festival. 40 days of Prayer and Fasting: From 30th October to 14th December, we are having a season of Prayer and Fasting. We are focusing on the Book of Hebrews and praying for a revival in our nation. Please join us. If you need more information on prayer list, please write to us. Let us pray that the Lord will do something special in our lives as a church and make us a blessing to the nation.This is a time of personal spiritual renewal. 15 Services: We now have 15 services in twelve locations in the city, each weekend to minister to several hundreds of people. Please pray that the Lord will lead each service and new people will be reached with the Gospel Message.
Next Year: Our theme for 2012 is BBB "Back to the Bible Basics", we want to return to the foundation for the purpose of HIS Church. A lot of special events and ministries are planned including mission short term trips.
Missions: The Biannually Missions Week concluded on September 25. New Pledges for Prayer and Finances for six months (September to March) have been collected. Praise God for the good response. Next Mission Week is March 20 to 23, 2012.
We are in the twentieth year of Missions. Our budget this year is around Taka 49 lakh which is US$72,000. You can participate in praying, giving and going. Contact us for more details. If you would like to receive a copy of our Mission Magazine, you can write to us. "Bangladesh and beyond!" . We had a reservation in sending the couple Pastor Alfred to Nepal and we will announce new Plan for Overseas Mission.Thank you to those who gave specifically for Overseas Mission. This money has been set aside only for the purpose for which you gave. Praise God! Pray for the Overseas Mission Plan.
Church Constructions:
The Uttara Church Center Construction work of the structure for the six storey is now complete. Four floors are ready and the girls home, the church and the school have moved in. More funds are needed to complete the 5th and 6th floors.
The Uttara Center was dedicated on January 21 at 5 pm. The plaque was unveiled by Mrs. Carol Alexander.
A New Outreach service in English has begun every Friday at 6pm. This service is named DUA Dhaka Uttara Assembly. Dua means prayer.
This is our third English service.We are looking for volunteers to teach children, to be part of worship team and ushers and other volunteers. Please contact us if you want to join our team. Email us.
Uttara Center address is house 53, Road 5, sector 11, (opposite the sector 11 Park) Uttara.
Our Nayanagar Church Center construction for the six storey building will begin as soon as the permission is available. Please pray.
Vision Church Building:
After praying for ten years for the Vision 555, we have now begun raising local funds for Vision Church Building which will seat 5000. The next offering for Vision Church Building will be on December 30 as this is the fifth Friday of that month.

Our 555 Vision
We are praying and looking out for purchase of a floor in Gulshan area as part of this vision. Thisis a very strategic location to reach out to many in this city of 16 million people. This is a very expensive area and a lot of finances are needed to purchase at least 7 to 10,000 Sq Ft. space. Presently space is available and we may need to act soon if we want to get this. The cost is expected to be near
4 Million US$.

Girls' Home:
The Uttara Girls' home is now named as "Caroline Girls Home" to honour Mrs. Caroline Alexander who has been serving the church since 1966.
City Pastors Training Institute:
The CPTI a two year in house training for city pastors began in June 2011in Uttara. Those trained will go out to plant city sending churches. We have 8 to 10 students and will be ready to have their practice with the church and training in January 2012. Please contact Pastor Jacob Park. Please pray.
Please Note: Every First Friday there is a Holy Communion Service at the Dhaka AG Service and at DUA Uttara. Every Second Friday there is a Holy Communion Service at the Dhaka International Assembly (DIA) Service. Every Second Friday there is a special presentation by our Compassion school children in the service and a second offering is taken for the ministry in the slums of Dhaka city. Every Last Friday there is a Mission Presentation and a second offering is taken for the Mission outreach at both Dhaka AG and DIA service. Every fifth Friday is second offering for Vision Church Building to seat 5000. Every Last Friday there is a Water Baptism Service. Contact any of the Pastors for this event. |
